Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly impart a binding force to an occupant without depending on a kind of an error even in the case that urgency is high.SOLUTION: A seat belt device 10 comprises: a belt reel 15 which winds a webbing 16; an electric motor 31 which windingly drives the belt reel; a collision prediction part which predicts a collision with an obstacle; and a control part which is connected to the collision prediction part via a network, and controls the winding-control of the electric motor when the collision with the obstacle is predicted by the collision prediction part. After the control part receives information in which the collision is predicted from the collision prediction part via the network, the control part performs control for making the electric motor continue the winding-control even if a communication failure occurs between the collision prediction part and itself.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
