Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device that is attachable to or detachable from a transportation carrier and that is able to move a transportation carrier in a desired direction by the pushing operation of an operator while attached to a transportation carrier.SOLUTION: A steering device 1 has a caster 21 that is free to change in an arbitrary direction, uses a transportation carrier 2 movable in an arbitrary direction on a floor by the pushing operation of an operator 3 while an object to be transported is placed on it, and controls the moving direction when the transportation carrier 2 is moved on the floor by the pushing operation of the operator 3. The steering device 1 comprises: a steering wheel 4 movable on the floor and attachable to/detachable from the transportation carrier 2; and a steering mechanism 5 that controls the moving direction of the steering wheel 4. While attached to the transportation carrier 2, the steering wheel 4 is movable together with the transportation carrier 2 in a moving direction set by the steering of the steering mechanism 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
