Abstract:
To accurately detect multiple carrying of paper, without causing erroneous detection in a receiver by vibration generated in a transmitter, when transmitting an ultrasonic wave.
A transmitter 138 of a double feeding detecting sensor 137 being an ultrasonic sensor is fitted in an opening part 141A of a first pedestal 141, and a back face of the transmitter 138 is pressed down by a presser plate 143 on the opposite side of the output side of the ultrasonic wave. The presser plate 143 is formed of a resin material. The vibration generated in the transmitter 138 is relieved by the presser plate 143, and the vibration having influence on output of a received signal is not propagated to a receiver 139.
