Abstract:
To provide a sheet bundle binding apparatus which efficiently moves a staple binding apparatus to a needle loading position when a staple needle for binding a sheet bundle lacks.SOLUTION: A sheet ejected from an upstream apparatus is loaded on a processing tray to perform binding processing by a staple unit. When a control CPU detects a shortage of needles within a needle cartridge of a stapler unit, and recognizes that the ejection of sheets from the upstream apparatus has been interrupted, the control CPU controls the driving of a movement means for moving the stapler unit to a staple needle loading position to move the stapler unit to the staple needle loading position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
