Abstract:
To provide a vertical resonator type light emitting element capable of emitting stable transverse mode light.SOLUTION: In a semiconductor structure layer of a vertical resonator type semiconductor laser element 10, in a region in which one ring having a certain width in the top view is cut out by a plurality of notches arranged in the circumferential direction of the one ring, a stabilized light in transverse mode is obtained by examining the shapes of a high resistance region A1 formed by a p-type semiconductor layer and an insulating layer and a low resistance region A2 formed by a convex portion of a p-type layer arranged in a notch of the insulating layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
