A base part 8 that is a part of a recorder exterior is present in a lower part of a recorder body. The base 8 is integrally provided with a positioning support part 8a supporting and positioning a base part of a paper feeding part 2 as a constituting part of the base 8 itself, and is integrally provided with a support part 8b supporting a lower part of the stacked recording medium P as the constituting part of the base 8. The base 8 is integrally provide with a platen 8c properly supporting the sheet-like recording medium and keeping the recording medium in a plane state in recording operation, bearing parts 8d of a carrier roller carrying the recording medium onto the platen 8c, and bearing parts 8e of a discharge roller discharging the recorded recording medium to the outside of the recorder, as the constituting parts of the base 8 itself. The base 8 is also provided with an installation part 8f of a roller drive system rotating the carrier roller and the discharge roller as the constituting part of the base 8 itself.
