Abstract:
To provide a sheet conveying device that can be miniaturized, even a sheet conveying device having a support that is displaced along a sheet conveying direction.SOLUTION: A sheet conveying device includes: a device main body having a sheet conveyance path; a conveying unit for conveying a sheet to outside of the device main body; a discharge tray; a sheet side end support unit having a pair of joggers that align and support both side ends in a width direction of the sheet conveyed to the outside of the device main body; and a support unit displaceable between a first position and a second position, and supporting an upstream end of a sheet discharged to the outside of the device main body when displaced to the first position in the sheet conveying direction. By moving in a width direction so that the pair of joggers are separated from each other, the support of both side ends in the width direction of the sheet is released, and when the support unit is displaced to the second position, the support of the upstream end of the sheet is released, and the support unit and the conveyance path are disposed at positions where they overlap each other when viewed from the width direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
