Abstract:
PURPOSE: To support an S spring on a frame firmly by raising the rigidity of a spring retainer, and also to prevent damage to the S spring or generation of noise by lightening the frame.
CONSTITUTION: A sheet-metal seat frame is characterized by cutting a plurality of cutting spring retainers 15, 15, and 15 parted therefrom at a suitable spacing on both frame sides 13, 13 at the predetermined positions, and by providing a projecting flange 16, which has radious ends 17, 18 and is projected on an upper surface 14 of the frame, and a tab 19 formed at the tip of the flange 16 integrally.
