Abstract:

To provide a sheet pad manufacturing method which can easily fit a reinforcing cloth to a foam molding die and stably retain a sheet pad with excellent mold release characteristics, and nevertheless, can manufacture the sheet pad at a low cost.

In manufacturing the sheet pad 10 which is composed of a pad body 12 made of a foamed resin molded body and the reinforcing cloth 14 laminated integrally to the back surface of the former, a metal wire 16 is attached to the reinforcing cloth 14, then a permanent magnet 56 arranged at the foam molding die 40 is made to magnetically attract the wire 16 of the reinforcing cloth 14 and thus the reinforcing cloth 14 is fitted in the die 40. After that, the die 40 is closed to foam mold the pad body 12. In this way, the reinforcing cloth 14 can be integrally molded with the back surface of the pad body 12 with the wire 16.
