PURPOSE: To separate sheets regardless of their rigidity and thickness.
CONSTITUTION: By providing a high frictional coefficient member 46a on a part of the outer periphery of a delivery means 13, providing a high frictional coefficient member 12a on a part of the outer periphery of a sending means 12 and simultaneously, by lessening radial size in the neighbourhood of the high frictional coefficient member 12a smaller than specified radial size, a carrier roller 48 of specified radial size and provided with a high frictional coefficient member on its outer periphery and a pinch roller 42 made contact with the outer periphery of each of the carrier rollers 48 with pressure are arranged on both sides of the sending means 12. Thereafter, by providing a frictional member on the outer periphery of a separation resisting means 14 and making it contact with the sending means 12 with pressure and by restraining rotation in the sheet carriage direction, a pressure contact separation resistant part is formed by the sending means 12 and the separation resisting means 14. Consequently, it is possible to improve rigidity in the sheet carriage direction by way of giving waveform deformation to front end parts of the sheets.
