Abstract:
To provide a sheet silicate porous body which has high porosity by a simpler method without requiring complicated stages such as freeze drying, and to provide its production method.
A resin composition consisting of a 99 to 60 mass% resin having an oxygen index of ≤25 and 1 to 40 mass% sheet silicate in which primary or tertiary amine or quaternary amine is ion-bonded between the layers is burned at 500 to 1,500°C in the precence of oxygen to produce the sheet silicate porous body. The porous body has a porosity of 50 to 99%, and a specific surface area of 10 to 1,000 m2/g.
