In the communication equipment having a shelf (11) capable of storing a plurality of printed circuit boards, each of the printed circuit boards is constituted so as to perform transmission and reception by radio in the shelf by wireless communication parts (171, 181), the shelf is provided with a back board (15) having means (173, 182) for supplying slot identification information indicating positions of respective slots which store the plurality of printed circuit boards, as for printed circuit boards of which the insertion is completed, positions of slots into which they are inserted is identified, the shelf has a radiowave shielding board (165) which shields radiowaves outputted from the wireless communication parts inside a radiowave radiation area (162) in the shelf and thus, radiation noise is not given to circuit components inside each of the printed circuit boards and the outside of the shelf.
