Title:
SHIFT CONTROL SYSTEM FOR VEHICULAR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3723103
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control system for a vehicular automatic transmission that has sufficient robustness against a disturbance such as braking of a vehicle even without high precision control equipment in clutch-to-clutch downshift control during coasting travel.
SOLUTION: A slight driving state controlling means 134 controls or increases engine speed NE according to an actual input/output speed difference NSLIP in a clutch-to-clutch downshift performed during coasting travel, to thus maintain a slight driving state of the vehicle during the clutch-to-clutch downshift. The clutch-to-clutch downshift control during coasting travel in that slight driving state reduces torque fluctuation to provide high hydraulic control precision of a brake B1 and a clutch C1 related to the shift, so that even without high- cost equipment with high control precision, sufficient robustness can be obtained against a disturbance such as braking of the vehicle.
