Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift device capable of suppressing a sense of incompatibility to be given to a driver when returning a knob to a predetermined operation position.SOLUTION: The shift device comprises: a dial knob which is rotationally operated for selecting a shift range of a transmission of a vehicle; a rotor cam which is engaged to a portion of the dial knob in a rotation direction of the dial knob and rotated integrally with the dial knob only when engaged to the dial knob; a first motor for rotating the rotor cam; and a control part for controlling the first motor. When a specific condition is established, the control part controls the first motor in order to rotate the dial knob to an operation position corresponding to a predetermined shift range. At least while the rotor cam is rotated in a pre-engage phase (from time 0 to time t1) until engaging the rotor cam to a portion of the dial knob, the control part decreases a voltage to be applied to the first motor than that when rotating the rotor cam in the other phase.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
