Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily replace the R/R specification and the C/R specification of an outboard engine with each other.SOLUTION: A shift direction inversion mechanism 2a of an outboard engine 1 comprises: a shift rod lever 22a rotating integrally with a shift rod 24; a shift lever 21 rotated by the external operation; and a shift link 23a transferring the rotation of the shift lever 21 to the shift rod lever 22a by connecting the shift rod 24 to the shift lever 21, in which the shift lever 21 is provided with a connection part for R/R 211r and a connection part for C/R 211c which can be connected to the shift link 23a and arranged on the opposite side to each other with a straight line passing through the rotation center Cof the shift lever 21 and the rotation center Cof the shift rod lever 23a therebetween.
