To provide a shim for adjusting a gap enabling to mount the shim easily and securely without deforming the shim.
The shim 1 for adjusting the gap comprises a shim portion 6 disposed in one surface 2a side of a portion 2 to be mounted, a first folded portion 7 folded back upward after projected from one end surface 6a of the shim portion 6 offsetting by a predetermined amount, and disposed in the other surface side 2b of the portion 2 to be mounted, and a second folded portion 8 further folded back upward to sandwich the portion 2 to be mounted between the shim portion 6 and thereof in the tip of the first folded portion 7. The first folded portion 7 comprises two bent portions 7A and 7A provided in both ends of the shim portions 6, and two folded pieces 7B and 7B extending from each the bent portions 7A and 7A toward the other end surface 6b side of the shim portion 6 respectively.
