Abstract:
To provide a ship capable of stably and surely raising/lowering a wind force propulsion device with a large size and a heavy weight even when the ship is rocking.SOLUTION: A ship of the present invention comprises a thrust generating unit 27 by wind power to generate propulsion by receiving wind, extending vertically on a deck when using, and stored in a hangar 29 provided below the deck when not in use, and one or more wind force propulsion devices 25 with a lifting device 47 to raise/lower vertically the thrust generating unit 27 by wind power. The wind force propulsion devices 25 comprises a device body 45 to which the thrust generating unit 27 by wind power is fixed. The lifting device 47 comprises a pair of lifting mechanisms 59, 59' to raise/lower both ends together of the device body 45 located in the width direction perpendicular to the direction of travel in a synchronized state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
