To provide a shoe material having a shape memory property, and to provide a pair of shoes which are formed using the shoe material.

A fabric is obtained by using a shape memory fiber. In this case, the shape memory fiber is a fiber which has a function for recovering a shape A in such a manner that the fiber is heated to a processing temperature for memorizing the arbitrary shape (shape A), and is made to memorize the shape, and the fiber is deformed once by an external force into a different shape (shape B) at a specified temperature which is less than the memory processing temperature and is from 20 to 100°C, and then, the shape is temporarily fixed by keeping or cooling the fiber at a temperature which is a glass transition temperature or lower, and then, is heated at a temperature which is the glass transition temperature or higher again under a no-tension state. After obtaining the fabric, the shoe material using the fabric is constituted, and a pair of shoes are obtained by using the shoe material when required.
