To provide a shoulder patting machine for a wheelchair user for safely and uniformly obtaining a comfortable patting feeling as if patting with a human hand from the back of the neck to the shoulders of the wheelchair user.
Sliders 3 forming a pair by two pieces are armored on a horizontal guide shaft 2, shoulder patting arms 4 forming a pair by two pieces are pivoted to the respective sliders freely rotatably in a vertical direction and a rotary disk 20 is connected through a connection rod 6 to the base end of both shoulder patting arms. Both sliders 3 are connected to a vertical reciprocating movement mechanism 34 and the rotary disk 20 and the vertical reciprocating movement mechanism 34 are linked and connected to a driving source. Further, the connection rod 6 is provided with a damper 11. With respect to the damper 11, the base part of a connection bar 10 for connection with the shoulder patting arm is fixed to the upper end of a case 9 housing coil springs 14 and 15 inside, and a movable piston 17 fixed to the upper end of an elevating/lowering bar 16 connected with the rotary disk 20 at the lower end is equipped inside from the lower end of the case.
