The showcase 10 has a translucent front wall 11, the display chamber 5 which can be seen through this front wall 11, a fluorescent lamp 51 which is provided on the outside of the show room 5 and illuminates the inside of the display chamber, and a fan 52 which cools the fluorescent lamp 51 by sucking the open air and emits the exhaust 59 so as to flow along the outside 71 of the front wall 11. Further, the showcase 10 has a heat exchanger 33 and a fan 34 which emit cold 39 so as to flow along the inside 72 of the front wall 11 and cool the inside of the display chamber 5.
