Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shut-off valve with improved dimensions, safety, reliability, service life and costs.SOLUTION: A shut-off valve for integration into an intelligent gas meter for residential or industrial gas supply has an inlet (2), an outlet (7) and a valve seat having a lip seal (6). A shut-off body (5) is longitudinally displaceable with respect to the valve by a motor driven transmission using a nut-threaded-spindle drive (15-16), to engage with or disengage from the seal to open or close the valve. The transmission (11-16) of the valve remains largely unbiased in the closed state while maintaining the gas-tightness of the valve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
