Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side part structure of a vehicle which can reduce a deformation rate of a side sill against collision from a rear side of the vehicle, obtain satisfactory support rigidity, suppress increase of weight and a manufacturing cost, and provide an air bag expansion sensor with moisture resistance.
SOLUTION: A lock pillar 14 is stood between a rear end 2a of a door panel and a rear tire house 3 at a vehicular side part 1, which lock pillar 14 is faced to the rear end 2a of the door panel when a door 2 is closed. A reinforced support member 14 having specified rigidity against deformetion in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle is arranged inside the lock pillar 14. The reinforced support member 15 has a section which is substantially hat-shaped, and is so arranged that its longitudinal direction is agreed with that of the vehicle. An air bag expansion sensor 8 is fixed to substantially a center position of a bottom surface 15b, which sensor 8 senses side collision, that is the lateral gravity of car widthwise direction.
