PURPOSE: To increase the strength of a detecting signal and to detect the NMR signal with high sensitivity by providing a feeding part provided on a first loop-like conductor element, an impedance matching circuit connected to the feeding part, and a second loop-like element of a closed loop which is coupled electromagnetically to a first loop-like element and placed vertically against the element.

CONSTITUTION: The signal detection probe of the MR device has two saddle type loop-like conductor elements 1, 3, and they are placed so as to be orthogonal to each other. The loop-like element 3 becomes a closed loop and has no feeding point, but a resonance capacitor Cr' is connected. The constitution of this element 3 can be regarded as the constitution of the probe in the same way. Therefore, the signal detection probe is constituted by placing orthogonally a probe part A constituted of an LC resonance circuit which becomes a closed loop and has no feeding point, and a probe part B having the LC resonance circuit and an impedance matching circuit.
