Abstract:
To generate a signal which simulates frequency characteristics by a tap number less than a tap number required in a transmission standard.SOLUTION: A signal generation device comprises: tap value setting means 2 for setting a tap value of each tap to be obtained in a transmission standard; inverse Fourier transformation means 3 for performing inverse Fourier transformation from an array number including the set tap value so as to calculate frequency characteristics; loss value correction means 4 for correcting a loss value of the calculated frequency characteristics with the use of a loss value correction curve; frequency characteristic file generation means 5 for generating a frequency characteristic file which is obtained by connecting two points i.e. a DC level of frequency characteristics of a tap number to be obtained in a transmission standard and a loss value in a Nyquist frequency with a straight line; impulse response segmentation means 7 for segmenting the tap number of a FIR filter 11 from an impulse response to be obtained by performing Fourier transformation of the generated frequency characteristic file; tap value correction means 8 for correcting a tap value of each segmented tap; and means for setting the corrected tap value of each tap to each tap of the FIR filter 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
