Abstract:

To provide a signal generator, a signal generation system and a signal generation method which can generate an arbitrary waveform repeatedly and, without changing the waveform frequency, can make the beginning and rearmost phases of the generated waveform continue one after another.

The signal generator includes phase shift means which, to ensure, upon receiving waveform data of the n'th count of repeated output counts, that the rearmost of waveform data of the n-1'th count and the beginning of waveform data of the n'th count have their phase changes continue, shifts the phase of each sample data of waveform data of the n'th count by a reference phase difference θ, or a phase difference between waveform data of the n-1'th count and waveform data of the n'th count, and a phase shift amount φn obtained from a repeated output count n before being output to D/A conversion means.
