Abstract:
To provide a simulation method capable of selecting the positions of a plurality of electrodes in an electric resistance type melting furnace.SOLUTION: A simulation method is used for the arrangement of a plurality of electrodes in an electric resistance type melting furnace comprising: a furnace body having an internal space storing the object to be melted; and a plurality of electrodes sagged from the ceiling wall of the furnace body, and in which, when being viewed from the vertical upper part of the ceiling wall, the plurality of electrodes are arranged on the same circumference, and includes: an electrode initial position set step where the initial positions of the plurality of electrodes on the circumference are set; a temperature distribution calculation step where, based on the initial positions of the plurality of electrodes, the temperature distribution of the object to be melted is calculated; a repeating step where the plurality of electrodes are set on the circumference in positions different from the initial positions, and, based on the set positions of the plurality of electrodes, the temperature distribution of the object to be melted is calculated; and a selection step where, from the temperature distribution of the object to be melted obtained in the repeating step, the positions of the plurality of electrodes are selected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
