Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single lever which can easily manually be operated even by elderly persons having a weak grip and a weak finger force.
SOLUTION: The single lever has the rear end part 30 connected to a faucet body 4 side and the front end part 33 constituted of a pair of upper and lower tongue pieces 31, 32 extended from the rear end part 30 in a bifurcate state. By holding or pinching the front end part, or by putting a fist on the front end part 33, the single lever can be manually operated with vertical or horizontal manual operation. A putting space S for the fist 28 is set between a pair of the upper and lower tongue pieces 31, 32. The upper tongue piece 31 is formed in a substantially ring-shaped opening 3, 4 in which the fingers can be inserted, and further, the upper face M of the lower tongue piece 32 is connected to the upper face N of the rear end part 30. The upper face M of the lower tongue piece 32 has a gently downward and forward slope face from the upper face N of the rear end part 30.
