To provide a single-phase induction motor capable of preventing electric currents from flowing into a starting device during normal operation to block the power consumption of the starting device, and capable of obtaining power consumption blocking device of the starting device to enhance the workability and the efficiency of the motor.
In a single-phase induction motor configured to include a main winding M, an auxiliary winding S and an operating capacitor Cr, the single-phase induction motor includes a starting device for generating the starting torque of a high value during initial starting, and a power consumption preventing means for preventing the power consumption of the starting device, by blocking the electric currents flowing into the starting device during normal operation.
