PURPOSE: To obtain a skin agent for external use exhibiting low skin irritation caused by the constituent component of the skin agent such as absorbefacient and active component and having high percutaneous absorbability of the active component.
CONSTITUTION: The objective agent is produced by compounding usually ≥0.5wt.%, preferably 1.5-55wt.% of one or more substances effective for suppressing the cytotoxicity of lauroylsarcosine to cultured fibroblast originated from skin of rat. The above suppressing substance is especially selected from vitamin E, squalene and medium-chain fatty acids, suppresses the skin stimulation caused by the constituent component of the skin agent for external use and does not lower but rather increases the percutaneous absorbability of the active component. Accordingly, the agent exhibits the above desirable effects and is applicable even to a part sensitive to irritation.
