Abstract:
To satisfactorily back up a shell mold having vacuum sucking holes with a backup mold and allow the shell mold to withstand high injection pressure to prevent deformation of a mold surface.SOLUTION: A skin insert injection molding mold comprises a first mold to which a skin is set, and a second mold having an injection port. The first mold includes a shell mold 2 with a thickness of 2-6 mm having a plurality of vacuum sucking holes 5, and a backup mold 10 with a thickness of 10 mm or more having a shape a front surface of which matches a back surface of the shell mold 2. On a front surface of the backup mold 10, ventilation grooves 13 that are connected to each other in a net shape are recessed leaving a plurality of dispersed receiving surfaces 14 that receive the back surface of the shell mold 2. An area of one receiving surface 14 is 15-500 mm2. A ratio of the total area of the receiving surfaces 14 to the total opening area of the ventilation grooves 13 is 40:60-90:10. A groove depth of the ventilation grooves 13 is 0.2-3 mm. Through the backup mold 10, ventilation holes 15 that communicate from the ventilation grooves 13 to the outside of the mold are formed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
