A method for producing the sliced veneer decorative board comprises the steps of: layering phenolic resin-impregnated core paper, which is obtained by impregnating kraft paper with a phenolic resin and drying the phenolic resin-impregnated kraft paper, a sliced veneer, and melamine resin-impregnated overlay paper, which is obtained by impregnating overlay paper for decorative boards with a melamine resin and drying the melamine resin-impregnated overlay paper, on one another; disposing a plastic luster transfer film on the surface of the melamine resin-impregnated overlay paper; disposing another plastic film having the softening point lower than that of the plastic luster transfer film on the surface of the plastic luster transfer film; and subjecting the obtained plastic film-disposed laminate to perform hot-press molding.
