Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide type constant velocity joint capable of surely preventing the come-off of rolling elements and an inside joint member while allowing the assembly of the rolling elements with no damage thereto.SOLUTION: A slide type constant velocity joint 1 includes an outside joint member 10 cup-shaped, and having a plurality of track grooves 12 extending in the axial direction of the inner peripheral face and rolling element guide faces 14 formed opposing each other on the inside walls of track grooves 12, respectively, rolling elements 30 inserted into the track grooves 12 of the outside joint member 10 so as to be guided along the rolling element guide faces 14, and an inside joint member 20 arranged inside the outside joint member 10 so that torque is transmitted thereto via the rolling elements 30 while allowing angle displacement between the outside joint member 10 and itself, wherein come-off preventing means 50 are provided which have cylindrical holes 51 formed in the rolling element guide faces 14 near an opening 11 of the outside joint member 10, and chipped balls 56 rotatably supported in the cylindrical holes 51, respectively.
