Abstract:
To provide a sliding contact member capable of achieving low friction and low wear even in low humidity and high-temperature environments, and capable of continuously reducing wear and friction without providing a continuous supply mechanism, a brush using the same, and a rotating machine.SOLUTION: A sliding contact member 1 has a sliding contact part 10 that includes a sliding contact surface 101 allowing a mating member a sliding contact. The sliding contact part 10 is formed in a bulk shape. The sliding contact part 10 includes graphite with phosphate 2 in which phosphate 202 exists on the surface of a layer 201 constituting graphite crystal structure 20.
