Abstract:
To provide a method for producing a sliding member which is obtained by coating an amorphous carbon film on a substrate surface and can control abrasion of the amorphous carbon film on the surface thereof even when used under high contact pressure and as a sliding member with high sliding frequency.
The sliding member 1 is obtained by forming an amorphous carbon film 20 on the surface of a substrate 10, wherein clusters 21 comprising Bi are dispersed in the amorphous carbon film 20.
