Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably hold a rolling sphere in a recessed part and constitute a sliding rolling bearing structure of high performance of low frictional coefficient despite of a simple structure by storing the rolling sphere in the recessed part and by holding a sliding state in a point contact. SOLUTION: A base isolating device is so constituted that a holding part 20 is fixedly provided in the bottom of a structure 14, a steel ball 16 is brought in point contact with a recessed part 18 so as to hold a sliding state, and the rolling steel ball 16 is supported by a recessed receiver plate 22 fixed on a footing 12. The inside of the recessed part 18 is filled with lubricant such as grease, etc., with its outflow prevented by rubber packing 24. The steel ball 16 is rolled in the recessed part 18 by a horizontal vibration of a structure 14 by an earthquake. The ratio R/r of the curvature radius R of the internal circumferential face of the recessed part 18 to the radius (r) of the steel ball 16 is set to 1.08 or less so as to stabilize the relative lateral deviation of the steel ball 16 in the recessed part 18 and to reduce the frictional coefficient. The recessed part 18 may be a flat face crossing with each other in the center or a curved face. This constitution can constitute the sliding rolling bearing device of high performance.
