PURPOSE: To obtain a slightly crystalline mixture which is a liquid at ordinary temperature and high in bromine content, by mixing dibromophenylglycidyl ether with dibromoisopropylphenylglycidyl ether and/or monobromophenylgly cidyl ether.
CONSTITUTION: The slightly crystalline mixture obtained by mixing dibromophe nylglycidyl ether (having high melting point and being solid at room tempera ture) expressed by formula I with dibromoisopropylphenylglycidyl ether expressed by formula II and/or monobromophenylglycidyl ether expressed by formula III. The compound expressed by formula II is suitably used in an am ount of 10W300pts.wt., preferably 25W200pts.wt. based on 100pts.wt. compound expressed by formula I and the compound expressed by formula III is suitably used in an amount of ≤10W100pts.wt., preferably 10W50pts.wt. based on 100pts. wt. mixed product consisting of ≥50wt.% compound expressed by formula I and ≤50wt.% compound expressed by formula II.
