PURPOSE: To easily perform the position adjustment of a lower edge by fixing a lower edge receiving sleeve with its movement on a roll for the lower edge.

CONSTITUTION: A lower edge receiving sleeve 2 fixable to an optional position with its being inserted on to the roll 1 for the lower edge is provided, the lower edge 3 is fixed to this lower edge receiving sleeve 2, moved in the axial direction on the roll 1 for the lower edge and fixed to a desired position. When the cutting of original cloth is performed in this state, the original cloth is fed into a cutting part by keeping the plane state, irrespective of there being a step part on the roll 1 for the lower edge because of the original piece passing through the cutting part almost along the tangent of the lower edge 3 at the engagement starting point of an upper edge 13 and lower edge 3 and the original cloth is cut in the state of being mounted on the lower edge 3.
