Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow a long distance transportation of a small boat to be easily made by configurating a device in such a way that a carrier is provided with a power transmission means which transmits a rotating force from an input shaft which can be engaged with other means, so as to receive the rotating force from an external power take-off means of the carried small boat. CONSTITUTION:A small boat carrier 1 is provided with a truck 5 which carries a small boat equipped with a power take-off means 21, rear driving wheels 4 and 4 and front wheels which are rotatably installed on the truck 5, and an input shaft 11 which is movably engaged with the external power take-off means 21 of the small boat 2. A rotating force transmitted from the input shaft 11 is transmitted to the driving wheels 4 and 4 through a power transmission means 10. Meanwhile, when the carrier is used as a trailer to transport the small boat to a long distance where the carrier is tracked by a passenger car, each of a right ad a left clutch 14 and 14 is placed in a sort of a disconnected condition, and is supported by a ratchet mechanism attached to operating levers 14a and 14a. Besides, the carrier 1 is also provided with regular electrical equipment such as tail lamps and direction indicating lamps for a long distance transportation to be easily made.
