PURPOSE: To provide a portable fixing device used for small electronic equipment such as a personal computer, a word processor, or a printer used for it, where the fixing device is small, lightweight, low in cost, and hardly damaged taking advantage of magnetic attractive power, and furthermore magnetic data stored in a magnetic recording medium are protected against damage.
CONSTITUTION: Cases 1 and 2 are provided changeable in a relative positional relation and equipped with a magnet 60 provided to the surface of the case 1 as recessed and a magnetic member 62 provided to the case 2. When the cases 1 and 2 are arranged adjacent to each other making the magnet 60 and the magnetic member 62 confront each other, the magnetic member 62 and the magnet 60 are attracted to each other, and the cases 1 and 2 are fixed in relative positional relation.
