PURPOSE: To provide a low-cost cover structure to prevent unintentional disconnection of optical units and adaptable to various mounting types.
CONSTITUTION: A front board 1 is provided to cover the front of an excess optical cable containing space, a cover 2 is provided along the lower edge of the front plate 1 suspending downward so as to cover a drawing card lever of an optical unit, the lower edge of the front board 1 is formed into the shape of L to serve as a step 3, a cutout 4 prescribed in length is provided to the step 3, and a mounting piece 6 fixed along the upper edge of the cover 2 is equipped with an engaging part 7 provided with an upright piece 8 which is located at the rear of the engaging part 7 and engaged with the cutout 8. Furthermore, a magnet 5 is fixed to the rear of the mounting piece 6 confronting the upright piece 8, and the cover 2 makes the magnet 5 attract the front of the front board 1 to engage the engaging part 7 with the cutout 4 of the front board 1, whereby the cover 2 is fixed to the front board 1 as positioned.
