Title:
SMALL END MILL MADE OF CEMENTED CARBIDE EXCELLENT IN HIGH TEMPERATURE HARDNESS AND THERMAL RESISTING PLASTIC DEFORMATION PROPERTY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002205217
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a small end mill made of cemented carbide being excellent in high temperature hardness and thermal resisting plastic deformation property.

The small end mill made of cemented carbide contains 80-92 mass% tungsten carbide serving as a rigid phase, and a rest consists of a coupling phase. The coupling phase contains 19-28 mass% Ni, 1-3 mass% Ti, and 0.1-1 mass% Al in a ratio occupying the coupling phase. The rest is a composition consisting of Co and an inevitable impurity and has texture where fine intermetallic compounds are dispersed and deposited in a base of a Co-Ni alloy.
