Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a card having flaw resistance, water resistance, and chemical resistance by a method wherein a uniform protective film layer is formed on a surface of a small size card such as a license, an ID card use, etc., by a coating method which is excellent in treating a coated surface which makes protective film layer liquid ooze out from a coating part consisting of fiber, cloth, sponge, etc.
CONSTITUTION: A coating liquid is made to ooze out from a coating part 21 of fiber, sponge, cloth, etc., to be applied uniformly in a width direction. The liquid permeates the coating part 21 of fiber, sponge, cloth, etc., from a coating liquid container 24, and the coating part 21 is prevented from moving to lessen friction by providing a cover 22 to the coating part 21. Further, a coater 2 lessen exposure of the coating liquid to prevent solvent from evaporation by integrating the coating liquid container 24 and the coating part 21 into one body. Further, since a card surface just after application can not be touched, the rear surface is held with a base 3 by attraction, adhesion, etc. Ultraviolet setting resin such as acrylic, urethane, epoxy, etc., is used as a protective film layer to be used.
