PURPOSE: To prepare the subject easily drinkable liquor having the flavor of snapping turtle and, nevertheless, free from disagreeable smell by immersing dried snapping turtle, sugar and dried tangerine peel in class-B SHOCHU (low- class distilled spirit), aging the mixture, filtering the immersion liquid and adjusting the concentration.
CONSTITUTION: A dried snapping turtle, a sugar (preferably honey) and dried tangerine peel are immersed in class-B SHOCHU and aged for a prescribed period, preferably ≥1 month. The immersion liquid is filtered and the concentration is adjusted to obtain the objective product. The alcohol concentration of the class-B SHOCHU is preferably 40% and the sugar concentration is preferably 3-5% in the finished product.
