To provide a socket for inspection which enables the positive electrical connection of a grounding probe to a metal block while respective probes are supported by the metal block and which can be produced with inexpensive parts, in a simple way.
In the structure of the socket, a signal prove 1SIG, an electrical source probe 1POW, the grounding probe 1GND are supported in through-holes 21 formed in the metal block 2, and electrode terminals for a device to be inspected formed on one side of the metal block are electrically connected to wiring terminals formed on the other side thereof. A grounding plate 5 is disposed in electrical connection to the metal block 2, and has escape holes, formed adapted to the positions of the signal probe 1SIG and the electric source probe, and a split hole 51 formed with a through hole, having a diameter smaller than that of the grounding probe 1GND and radially extending splits. formed adapted to the position of the grounding probe 1GND.
