Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soft decision decoding device capable of easily calculating bit likelihood by a small-scaled arithmetic processing circuit and providing a reproduction signal whose bit error rate characteristics are satisfactory, and radio communication equipment having the device.
SOLUTION: A bit likelihood generating part 3 generates soft decision bit data bit from phase likelihood iphs calculated by an information data phase likelihood generating part 4, a bit weighting factor k calculated by a bit weighting part 9, and a bit string pbit of a phase selected symbol, and a multiplying part 13 multiplies the soft decision bit data bit and frame likelihood data fkphs to calculate soft decision bit data fbit (k) with frame likelihood. A soft decision viterbi decoder 6 applies soft decision viterbi-decoding to the soft decision bit data fbit (k) with the frame likelihood.
