Abstract:
The present invention provides a soft tennis ball with a rubber valve that is lightweight, is made of a single member, and provides excellent sealing to completely prevent air inside the tennis ball from leaking. In a soft tennis ball having a charging rubber valve attached to a local area of interior of a ball shell, the rubber valve in accordance with the present invention comprises a thin flange 3b engaging an interior surface of the ball shell 2; a projection 3a extending from the flange 3b in an outward direction and engaging an aperture 2a defined in the ball shell 2; a cavity 3d forming an opening in an outer face of the projection 3a and having a bottom; a cylindrical valve body 3c extending from the flange 3b in an inward direction; and a slim slot 3e formed inside the rubber valve and extending from the bottom of the cavity 3d to an inner end of the valve body 3c. The valve body 3c assumes a conic shape with an outside diameter converging in a direction from outer side toward inner side.
