Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil improvement material that modifies a soil into a low viscosity state while keeping the soil neutral and gives the soil a predetermined soil strength.SOLUTION: The soil improvement material includes a water-absorbable polymer and water-absorbable clay having a liquid limit in the range of 50 to 350%. In the soil improvement material, the ratio of the water-absorbable polymer is 7.5 to 50 mass% and the ratio of the water-absorbable clay is 50 to 92.5 mass% when the total mass of the water-absorbable polymer and the water-absorbable clay is 100 mass%. The water-absorbable clay includes one or more of acid clay including H type montmorillonite, diatomaceous earth, clay including amorphous allophene and bentonite including Na type and Ca type montmorillonite.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
