Abstract:
To provide a neutron detector and neutron measurement device capable of obtaining the neutron spectrum in an epithermal region with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A neutron detector 1 includes: a Li containing scintillator 5 receiving flying neutrons to generate light emission; a first shell 10 surrounding the Li containing scintillator 5; and a second shell 20 covering the outside of the first shell 10. The first shell 10 is constituted of a moderator for moderating the neutrons, and the second shell 20 is constituted of a material having a main peak of the cross-sectional area of resonance absorption reaction in a range of 1 eV or more and 10 keV or less. A neutron measurement device includes the neutron detector 1 and a photo-multiplier connected to the Li containing scintillator 5 via a light guide body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
