PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized inexpensive device capable of monitoring the state of soil with low power consumption; and to provide a system and a method therefor.SOLUTION: A soil monitoring device includes an elastic body buried in the ground, an actuator for applying vibration thereto, and a sensor for measuring vibration, and measures a propagation parameter in the elastic body of the vibration applied by the actuator, to thereby determine the state of soil.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
