PURPOSE: To provide a novel, epochal solar cell system such that a solar cell can be easily attached onto a roof of a Japanese house, particularly, a roof made of tile or ceramic material, and such that increased power generation is realized.

CONSTITUTION: A solar cell system is composed of a sheet-like body 2 laid on a roof 1 of a building and having mesh structure or a plurality of apertures, a solar cell panel 3 set on the sheet-like body 2, and engagement members for engaging the solar cell panel 3 with the mesh or apertures of the sheet-like body 2. The solar cell panel is also provided with a light reflector so that a light receiving surface of the solar cell panel is irradiate with a reflected light from the light reflector.
